The Adventure Element place great emphasis on safety throughout all of our activities by employing the most experienced, professional and qualified instructors and by using only the highest quality equipment.
We are proud to hold a variety of licences and affiliations which further demonstrate our commitment to your safety and our focus on ensuring we have the highest professional standards.
Our history of working in the outdoors spans over 25 years. Our staff hold some of the highest outdoor qualifications available in the UK and all follow our simple 3 stage ethos of:

providers. Along side this a thorough recce trip is carried prior to a trip being launched.
It’s hard not to enjoy the experience when all of your fellow adventurers are right there beside you willing you to succeed. Making you laugh at just the right time and encouraging you when you need it.
We know that being on adventures pushes boundaries to a point where you learn so much about yourself. You are capable of more than you expect, and our staff and local partners are there to help you every step of the way.
All of The Adventure Element staff hold some of the highest of professional qualifications for the outdoors and have exceptional experience. This ensures they are able to strike the perfect balance between safety and letting the our clients have a true adventurous, developmental and fun experience. This licence indicates that The Adventure Element Ltd has been inspected by the licensing service with particular attention being paid to our safety management systems with young people, and has been able to demonstrate compliance with nationally accepted standards of good practice in the delivery of adventure activities to young people, with due regard to the benefits and risks of the activity.
We are licensed for Climbing, Trekking and Watersport based activities.

All activities are risk assessed and recorded and continually reviewed with appropriate safety measures in place to assist in ensuring your wellbeing. All risk assessments are reviewed annually automatically or after any significant change.
Such changes may be brought about by:
- Environmental change
- Personnel changes
- Client group change
- Any incident that may occur
All staff are trained and inducted in to company policies and procedures and follow current good practice and company codes of practice.

The Adventure Element Ltd will ensure the safety and protection of all children and vulnerable adult involved in our activities and events through adherence to these Child Protection & Vulnerable Adult guidelines.
A child is defined as a person under the age of 18 (The Children Act 1989). A vulnerable adult is “A person who is, or may be, in need of community care services by reason of mental or other disability, age or illness and who is or may be unable to take care of him or herself,
or unable to protect him or herself against significant harm or exploitation”
Our insurance, via Activity Industry Mutual (AIM) and covers all activities.
As with any insurance, it is important for you to read through the policy to ensure it is suitable for you and your organisation.
As an Approved Activity Provider (AAP) we have been granted a licence by The Duke of Edinburgh's Award to provide the expedition element of a participants overall award. It has been granted on the quality of our programmes meeting the requirements of the award.
We are proud of our licence and offer expeditions at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels and 3 different modes of transport: Foot, Bike and Boats.
