Canoe River Journey
You'll experience the Lake District from a very special angle.
Canoe River Journey overview
See the beauty of the Lake District from a very different angle. Travel from Derwentwater, Keswick down the Middle Derwent river to Bassenthwaite lake. From the seat of your boat you can see parts of Cumbria not accessable by any other means. But first we'll visit the islands and inlets of the lake and take a hot a drink boiled over an open fire.
We can guarantee that after a period of training from our instructors on a lake you will be ready to tackle your first 'white water' river trip!
If this is your first time on moving water or even in a canoe you'll be amazed at how the boat 'comes alive' in its natural environment!
As the river carries us along we may see herons and kingfishers and will tackle several stretches of small white water rapids, all whilst being surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in England!
