What do you need to know about Guided Mountain Walks?

A day out with one of our guides will not only mean you can relax and enjoy the walk, but will also help you gain skills and confidence. Your guide will be brimming full of knowledge and a willing to pass it on. Learn core navigation skills, how to plan your own walks and key safety skills.

An ideal day If you want to get out in the mountains but would prefer to let someone else take care of the planning and navigation and safety of the day. 

You decide where you'd like to explore, and leave the rest to us. Or, if you have a particular objective, do let us know!

"No Phone? No Way!" The Double Edge Sword of phones on DofE expeditions

According to Ofcom, 99% of children will own a mobile phone by age 11 and 98% of 16-24 year olds will own a smartphone. Teenagers average 3-6 hours of screen time each day with 12-15 year olds having a focus on social sites, primarily TikTok and Snapchat. As a DofE expedition provider, it is easy to see the difficulties when we ask young people to take themselves away from their phones and go offline for a few days. Can DofE expeditions balance the double edged sword that is phone technology to help more young people experience the outdoors?
