24 Peaks in 24 Hours
Could you climb 24 Lake District mountains in just 24 hours?
Set against the dramatic Lake District backdrop, the 24 Peaks in 24 Hours Challenge is an unforgettable test of teamwork, determination, and endurance.
We log two 12 hour days, with an overnight rest, in order to complete this sustainable yet sturdy challenge. Taking on the iconic Lake District fells, teams will be pushing their limits, supporting each other through every climb, and experiencing the morale that is built from achieving something extraordinary together.
Event Summary
The Lake District is one of the most beautiful area of natural beauty in the UK. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is filled with breath taking mountains and valleys.
Your challenge takes place over 2 long and hard trekking days, with a restful nights sleep in between, and packs in plenty of ascent. The mission is to summit 24 peaks over a 30 mile route. Each peak is over 731m (2,400ft) - the rewards will be absolutely be worth every step.

Day 1
Arrival at Ambleside in the late afternoon for an introduction and full briefing about the weekend’s events.
Day 2
Langdale route: 26km and 1,866m of ascent
A short transfer takes you to the starting point at the famous Old Dungeon Ghyll Hotel. The first peak is the biggest as we summit Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain. After reaching Scafell Pike the route heads back towards Langdale, ticking off the peaks as you go, before descending back into the valley for a transfer back to the hostel and your well-deserved celebration dinner. This is the toughest of the two days and consists of greater distance, ascent and rougher terrain. The views make the efforts worth every step!

Day 3
Fairfield route: 21km and 1,433m of ascent
From Ambleside the route will take you up to the summit of Red Screes before heading west and ticking off peaks as you go. You will finish the day on the summit of Fairfield before descending directly down Grasmere to celebrate your achievements.This is a long day that includes some of the most famous mountains in the Lake District, all directly overlooking lake Windermere. The 12 peaks for this day will be:

- 6. Dove Crag
- 7. Hart Crag

- 12. Stone Arthur
And after that, it'll be cause for celebration! A beer and your bed are probably calling...
