Hike - Day 1

Day 1

17.6km / 11miles

The first day of the hike starts at the iconic Durlston Head and finishes at the peaceful Kimmeridge Bay. This scenic route showcases some of the most striking landmarks of the coastline.

Start at Durlston Head: Begin your journey at Durlston Head, with panoramic views of the cliffs and coastline. As you walk, take in the beauty of Durlston Country Park, home to rich wildlife and dramatic coastal scenery.
Anvil Point: Heading west, pass Anvil Point, known for its lighthouse and sweeping views of the English Channel. The rugged cliffs here provide excellent photo opportunities.
St. Aldhelm’s Head: Continue along the South West Coast Path to St. Aldhelm’s Head, where you’ll enjoy more breathtaking vistas and the chance to explore the historic St. Aldhelm’s Chapel, perched atop the cliffs.
Dancing Ledge: The next stop is the stunning Dancing Ledge, a natural platform overlooking the sea. It’s a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the incredible coastal views.
Finish at Kimmeridge Bay: Your final destination is Kimmeridge Bay, famous for its fossil-rich cliffs and tranquil atmosphere, a perfect end to your charity walk.

Hike - Day 2

Day 2

14km / 8.75miles

The second day of our walk along the iconic Jurassic Coast, starting at the tranquil Kimmeridge Bay and finishing at the breathtaking Durdle Door. This 10-mile (16 km) route takes in stunning coastal landscapes, historic landmarks, and dramatic views, including the picturesque Lulworth Cove.

Start at Kimmeridge Bay: Begin your walk at the peaceful Kimmeridge Bay, renowned for its fossil-rich cliffs and calm waters. Take in the beauty of this quiet spot before heading west along the South West Coast Path.
Chapman’s Pool: Proceed towards Chapman’s Pool, a secluded cove nestled between towering cliffs. This hidden gem is a perfect place for a brief rest before continuing your walk.
Lulworth Cove: One of the highlights of the day is Lulworth Cove, a world-famous, crescent-shaped bay formed over millions of years. Stop to admire the natural beauty of the cove and its unique geology, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Flower’s Barrow: After Lulworth Cove, head towards Flower’s Barrow, an ancient hillfort that offers sweeping views over the coastline. From here, the path leads towards the dramatic cliffs of Swyre Head.
Finish at Durdle Door: The final leg of your walk brings you to the iconic Durdle Door, a striking limestone arch set against the turquoise waters of the English Channel. This natural wonder is a perfect end to your charity walk, offering an unforgettable sight and a well-deserved rest.
