Event Summary
A fantastic charity fundraising challenge for those looking to add something different to the fundraiser calendar or an unforgettable corporate day as colleagues get to experience 3 adventures in 1 day across Snowdonia's most iconic trails and road.
You begin as the sun rises and aim to cross the finish line before dusk falls. Starting from our Event Hub in Llanberis, this challenge features an stunning road bike section packed with breathtaking mountains in every direction.
Continuing on to the Hike Phase, it's time to make your way to the summit of the highest peak in Wales: Snowdon.
Once you’ve conquered the mountain, it will be down to LLyn Padarn and time to get in the canoes or kayaks to complete the paddle before returning to base to cross the finish line with your teammates.
(Please note: The order in which you undertake these activities may vary)
Bike
At dawn, you'll set off from the event base on a 39-mile bike ride that begins with a ride to the coast. From there you will follow the River Seiont as it flows out of Llyn Padarn and joins the sea at Caernarfon with its historic royal fortress.
Following the coastline, the route then turns inland towards the majestic landscape of Snowdonia. With the mountains rising ahead, you'll tackle the final push back to Llanberis, ready to take on the next phase of the challenge.
Hike
Next up, you begin on the Llanberis path up to the summit of Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales. This 9-mile round hike follows the Snowdon Mountain Railway on the most accessible route on the mountain and comes with some pretty awe-inspiring views.
Once you reach the top, remember to look out for Llyn Padarn down below as you eye up where your next phase takes place.
Paddle
It's now time to take on the final stage of the challenge!
In either a kayak or rafted canoes, your team will work together to complete a 2-mile circular route on the waters of Llyn Padarn, a lake nestled amidst some of Eryri's (Snowdonia's) most spectacular scenery, including the imposing Llanberis Slate Quarry.
