Event Summary
We meet in Glenridding early doors to begin our ascent in good time.You will be given a pre-event briefing and on the morning of the ascent you will be warmly welcomed by your leader. This will be a loop route, descending via Catstye Cam and allowing for a more gentle hike down. With leaders with you every step of the way and on hand to support you through this fantastic journey, you will be in safe hands.

The Hike
The hike will cover around 13km and reach a height of 949m as you reach the summit of Helvellyn.
The perfect stepping stone into the world of scrambling, this breathtakign route sees you make your way along a Grade 1 scramble. All the while, you'll feast upon sprawling views and the tantalising summit that lays await. For those wishing to skirt around 'the Chimney' a famously-challenging down climb section of the Striding Edge ridge, we can bypass via a parallel path.
This route loops around so you can enjoy a more relaxed descent back to base and hopefully stretch those hill legs out after a memorable day on the mountain.
