There are 4 pikes that form Langdale Pikes: Harrison Stickle, Pike of Stickle, Thunacar Knott and Pavey Ark. A grand Langdale loop that has inspired many a mountaineer and keen hiker.
Event Summary
To complete the Langdale Pikes journey, we begin early from the New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel carpark. Our leaders will be accompanying and guiding you around the route and on hand for support. The hike will take the most part of the morning and you can be back down for a late lunch.
An ideal challenge for those list-tickers and Strava-enthusiasts. The route ticks off 5 Wainwrights, 6 Birketts, 5 Nuttalls and 2 Hewitts. As well as covering some pretty stunning, challenging trail.

The Hike
The Langdale Pikes loop brings you to Harrison Stickle first up, tallest of the four main pikes at 736m, followed by Loft Crag. Third up, Thunacar Knott and lastly, Pavey Ark, the smallest but no less mighty of the pikes.
This is a challenging but achievable hike that is sure to leave you with a lasting sense of satisfaction and achey legs.
The route should take the best part of the morning and arriving down in the early afternoon.
