This is delivered by highly qualified and experienced instructors and assessors who have helped us secure a successful delivery track record with schools nationwide.
Itinerary - Day by Day
Did you know? To support accessibility for more young people, the Duke of Edinburgh Award has adjusted some of its Bronze Expedition requirements.
Participants no longer need to complete a Practice Expedition. As a result, we are able to offer our 4-day programme, meeting all DofE Award criteria, which provides 2 days of intensive training, followed by a 2-day Qualifying Expedition.
Training: 2-days
One day of in-school training, following the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award framework. With a focus on preparation for the Bronze Expedition, students will learn essential skills such as route planning and campcraft.
Working as a team, day 2 will put the practical skills learnt to good use as students head into the outdoors on a training walk - in an area close to your school’s location and supervised by our instructors.
Qualifying: 2-days
Expedition day! Two days following an Expedition route, planned and navigated by their team, with 1 night of camping. Remotely supervised and assessed by our DofE-qualified instructors, with a full debrief for each group on completion of their Bronze Expedition.

Our Bronze DofE Expedition package covers almost everything, however, we do require some input, planning and organising from the school or group.
- Recruiting your students to sign up to their Expedition to fulfill their DofE Award. We can assist with information on how to do this.
- Complete any in-house administration within your organisation to authorise the Expedition.
- Keep in touch with participants to distribute information and ensure they are registered with DofE for the Bronze Award.
- Transport to/from the Expedition venue. Our expedition locations are chosen for their ease of access via public transport. This may be a coach or minibus. Some groups arrive by train to keep costs low.
- We provide 1 free staff place for every 14 participants. They must attend the Expedition to ensure pastoral care for the participants.
